These US hotels are celebrating Pride with events and discounts

Pride Month is a time for celebration, reflection and empowerment for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, supporters and allies — and here at TPG, we honor that wholeheartedly.

Throughout June (and the rest of the year, considering many cities around the world celebrate at different times), there are plenty of incredible Pride events to attend. Events range from over-the-top parades and concerts to insightful panels and lectures about the history of the community and the challenges facing it.

Whether you’re looking to celebrate Pride close to home or you want to venture to one of the world-renowned celebrations in a major city, many hotels are offering special events, programming and discounts centered around inclusivity, diversity and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Below, you’ll find some of our favorites, from the Big Apple to the City by the Bay.

Show your pride in New York City

NOMO SOHO

If you’re heading to New York City for the Pride March on June 30, consider booking with one of NYC Pride’s official hotel partners for a great rate and perks like free drinks and special events.

Those hotels include the Moxy NYC Chelsea (rates from $298), the Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel (rates from $255) and the Hard Rock Hotel New York (rates from $289).

A handful of Hyatt properties are also joining in on the Pride action. At The Beekman, a Thompson Hotel (one of New York’s most iconic properties), there will be a special Pride cocktail (with a portion of the sales going to the Ali Forney Center), a jazz and drag brunch experience at Temple Court every Saturday at 12 and 3 p.m., plus the “Stay with Pride” package for rooms that includes discounts, potential room upgrades and drink vouchers.

Other Hyatts celebrating in New York include the Andaz 5th Avenue, with specialty cocktails and 20% of the bar’s June sales going to a local organization, and Thompson Central Park New York, where the restaurant Parker’s will have a special Pride-themed cabaret brunch June 8 with drag performances, DJs and rainbow foods.

Hilton, another official partner, has a range of promotions you can book with cash. At the Motto by Hilton New York City Chelsea, guests can book using this link to snag a $100 daily food and drink credit plus Pride swag; rooms currently start at $259 a night.

At the Virgin Hotels New York City, the Pride Month packages come with late checkout and two Pride cocktails served in collectible Absolut Elyx glasses.

In California, there are Pride celebrations up and down the state, but two major events are held in Los Angeles the weekend of June 9 and in San Francisco the last weekend in June.

In LA, Discover Los Angeles has a handy website with all of the hotels offering discounted stays or Pride packages. Some of the best packages include the Kimpton Everly Hotel, which is offering room upgrades, late checkout and a pool cabana with a bottle of rose (book through the Discover Los Angeles website), and Dream Hollywood, which is offering room upgrades, two free cocktails and a Pride welcome amenity when you book with the code “PRIDEP.”

At The Shay, Culver City, booking with the code “PRIDE” will unlock 15% off rates, while the Andaz West Hollywood is offering a Pride Package with free welcome drinks, late checkout, drink tickets and access to Pride pool parties.

The Mondrian Los Angeles is offering a “Pride Ready” room package available throughout the entire month of June. Guests can book a room to receive a Fruitloots welcome gift made in West Hollywood. The kit includes a curated selection of Pride essentials, from a clack fan to body glitter, sourced from LGBTQ+-owned brands. Plus, guests can enjoy poolside sips with two complimentary welcome drinks at Skybar.

In San Francisco, the Hyatt Regency, located near the start of the parade route, is offering 10% off rooms with the code “PRIDE.” The Harbor Court Hotel is helping guests celebrate by offering waived guest amenity fees and festival essentials like a branded bag, a fan and more.

Be proud everywhere else

Other Pride events happen worldwide throughout the year, so we shouldn’t leave them out of the lineup.

The Moxy Washington, DC Downtown is offering the Loud and Proud @ Moxy package, which includes sparkling rose wine, special sweet treats, welcome drinks at Bar Moxy and a copy of a local LGBTQ+ magazine when you use the code “8LG.” Luckily, this package is on offer through the end of December.

At the W Aspen, Pride is celebrated all June with a special package that includes a $200 food and beverage credit and a bottle of tequila or bourbon when using the code “CUE” when booking.

In Tennessee, Virgin Hotels Nashville is celebrating Pride with events all month, including live music and drag shows. For folks looking to catch some top-tier drag performances, W Nashville is hosting the official kickoff party for Nashville Pride with a ticket performance headlined by Gottmik on June 20.

In Philadelphia, the Hyatt Centric Center City is hosting its annual Pride Makers Market on June 22, so guests and locals can shop and support LGBTQIA+ artists, and the hotel’s Summer Pride offer, which includes a $25 food and beverage credit and late checkout, is on offer through Labor Day.

Or, if you really want to try something different, why not head to Mexico City for its massive Pride parade, the Marcha del Orgullo de la Cuidad de Mexico? If that sounds like the right move for you, the Mondrian Mexico City Condesa’s Pride Week Getaway package comes with a 25% discount on a two-night stay in a deluxe room or suite, complimentary Pride cocktails at SkyBar and rainbow-themed baked goods from The Flower Shop.
