New Orleans, A place like no other – Neckies Great Adventures
Perhaps one of the unique cities in the world, New Orleans is filled with its diverse culture, blues and Jazz, culturally rich cuisine, and diversity of cultures all around the world. In 2005, the city was devastated by Hurricane Katrina, flooding the infamous ninth ward, leaving residents homeless, and wreaking havoc on the community. Even today, the city is still recovering and rebuilding. Even though most of the residents in the ninth ward relocated elsewhere, the soul of this great city never abandoned here and is livelier than ever from its many celebrations such as Mardi Gras, the Jazz Festival, and year-round festivities which make up its charm.
A diversity of mixed cultures brings an assortment of many sighs and attractions for tourists. History buffs will love the French and Spanish architecture, which is very visible in the French Quarter. The city is below sea level, and the cemeteries make it more of an icon and main attraction. An abundance of museums, churches, and entertainment venues is viral for adults. New Orleans exemplifies the joy and life and lets the good times roll is considered a way of life. The constant celebration of culture, cuisine, music, and life makes New Orleans a place like no other.
