New Disney World discounts, including free dining plans for Disney+ subscribers
Like most things we’ll spend money on in 2024, Disney World vacations continue to increase in price. A one-day ticket for the Magic Kingdom can cost as much as $189 (though purchasing multiday tickets does bring the per-day cost down), and even the cheapest on-site hotel options average around $150 per night.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to save money at Disney, though. Disney regularly releases special offers and discounts that can cover the cost of your meals and snacks with a free Disney dining plan and another that can knock 50% off kids tickets and meals.
Don’t fret if you already booked a Disney vacation before learning about these offers. In most instances, you can apply current discounts to your existing reservation by visiting the “My Disney Experience” section on Disney World’s website. Click on “My Plans,” select “Change Reservation” and then search for applicable offers. If you booked through an authorized Disney vacation planner, you can reach out to them, and they should be able to apply the discount for you.
Some current discounts require you to be a Disney Visa cardholder or Disney+ subscriber, but some are open to all Disney fans who love saving money as much as they love Mickey-shaped pretzels.
Disney+ subscriber free dining offer
Whether a Disney dining plan is worth it when paying out of pocket depends on how much you like to spend on food and how much you like to eat on vacation. However, when you can get a dining plan for free, it’s pretty much a no-brainer that you are getting a good deal. A family of four can save nearly $1,000 with this deal.

There are two versions of the plan: the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan. These dining plans essentially allow you to prepay for a set number of meals and snacks during your Disney World vacation.
With this offer, Disney+ subscribers can get a free Disney dining plan with nondiscounted, four-night vacation packages that include a hotel stay and theme park tickets with the Park Hopper option. Which version of the dining plan you receive depends on which Disney World hotel you choose.

This new dining plan offer is only available to Disney+ subscribers for arrivals on select nights between July 1 and Sept. 30.
‘Kids Play & Dine’ for 50% off
Disney World tickets and dining plans will be half off for any kids in your party between 3 and 9 when you purchase a four-day, four-night hotel, ticket and dining package.
When you purchase a vacation package that includes a Disney dining plan, you receive dining credits to pay for meals and snacks throughout your trip. It’s a convenient option for families, and it typically starts at $57 per night for adults and $23 for kids. With this package, you can get half off the kids price and half off kids theme park tickets, which typically start at $109 per day. That can add up to a lot of savings — and a lot of yummy meals — during your trip.
This offer will be available for stays at select Disney World hotels on most nights between March 3 and June 30.
Save up to 35% on Disney hotel stays
Disney usually has one or two special offers you can take advantage of regardless of whether you have a Disney Premier Visa Card, Disney Visa Card or Disney+ subscription. Currently, there are two such discounts that can save you money.

If you are planning a Disney World vacation of five nights or more, you can save up to 35%. Your total savings will depend on which hotel you choose. This offer is available for stays on most nights between July 8 and Oct. 3 and can save you more than $1,000. For example, a mid-September stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will cost you $501.41 per night with this discount.
The same room would cost you $771.40 per night without a discount. Over the course of five nights, that’s a staggering savings of a little more than $1,500.
If you are planning a shorter vacation, Disney has another offer to save you up to 20% on your hotel stay on select nights between Jan. 9 and March 24.
How to find Disney World discounts
Finding Disney World hotel discounts is surprisingly easy. On Disney’s website, if you click “Places to Stay” and navigate to “View Special Offers” on the menu that pops up, you’ll see a full list of Disney’s current hotel and vacation package discounts.
You can click here to go directly to the page and bookmark it for later, or check TPG regularly for the latest Disney discounts.
If you are working with a Disney vacation planner, they will look for these deals for you and apply any that are applicable. Still, it doesn’t hurt to check occasionally and flag any that you think might apply to your trip.
Bottom line
There’s no getting around it: A Disney World vacation is a significant expense for most families. These Disney World discounts can help you save money for future trips or spend it elsewhere, like on character dining experiences or tickets to one of Disney’s after-hours parties.
