Etihad reveals new luxury amenities across all cabins — featuring Armani loungewear

Etihad Airways has launched a new high-end collection of amenity kits and loungewear in partnership with Italian design behemoth Giorgio Armani and luxe well-being brand Espa.

The range features stylish new amenity kits across the airline’s premium cabins and also economy cabins on longer-haul flights. The fancy new collection will roll out on flights from the end of February.

Etihad’s award-winning collaboration with Armani/Casa first launched in 2023. It also features jointly branded tableware and soft furnishings across Etihad’s business class.

Meanwhile, luxury well-being brand Espa first partnered with Etihad last year to launch the airline’s limited-edition, 20th anniversary amenity kits.

“As well as offering convenience, style and luxury inflight, our guests will take home their own co-branded Giorgio Armani amenity bag for use when travelling or at home,” Turky Al Hammadi, head of product and hospitality for Etihad Airways, said in a statement. “These sought-after bags come in collectable colours and styles meaning frequent flyers can build their personal Giorgio Armani collection.”

Here’s a closer look at what passengers will get.

ETIHAD AIRWAYS

Economy

Passengers flying in economy on flights longer than six hours will receive a stylish branded tote bag stuffed with inflight essentials such as Beekman hand cream, an eyemask and ear plugs.

In a nod to AvGeek collectors, the tote will come in three collectible designs featuring Etihad’s iconic livery tail fin designs — including the Greenliner and Manchester City special liveries.

With a nod to sustainability, each bag will be made from a recycled 500-milliliter PET bottle rescued from a landfill. Etihad hopes that by offering a reusable tote bag to its passengers, it can reduce the use of single-use plastics normally used to package individual items.

Business class

Amenity kits in Etihad Airways business class will feature two unisex styles — a clutch bag and a cube — designed by Armani.

The clutch bag will be cobranded by Armani and Etihad; it is set to feature a modern print design titled “The Dunes” inspired by the rolling sands of the Liwa desert in Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile, the cube bag is designed for easy packing and organization in trolley bags, suitcases or wardrobe drawers.

Inside each amenity bag will be luxury Espa skincare products, including a nourishing lip treatment, hydrating face mist, and rejuvenating hand and body lotion alongside plush slippers, an eyemask, earplugs and a travel dental kit.

The airline also has new business-class loungewear for passengers on long-haul flights longer than nine hours. It is inspired by traditional Emirati dress and features the iconic Emirati V stitching on the chest, unique to the United Arab Emirates’ national dress. Plush slippers will complete the full set.

The Residence and first class

Passengers in Etihad’s most premium cabins — The Residence and first class — will be treated to an Armani and Etihad cobranded large folio bag. The airline claims it is one of the largest amenity kits in the sky.

The folio bag will come in four colors and is large enough to fit a 13-inch laptop alongside documents and other travel essentials.

Inside the bag, passengers will find beauty and skincare products from Espa, including a hydrating face mist, nourishing lip treatment, pulse point oil to aid relaxation, rest and recovery night balm, and rejuvenating hand and body lotion.

As in business class, travelers will also receive an eyemask, earplugs and a travel dental kit.

That’s not all. The Residence and first-class guests will also receive bespoke Giorgio Armani and Etihad-branded loungewear and slippers. The soft charcoal-colored loungewear is anti-wrinkle and features a henley neckline. It has a tonal print inspired by the Abu Dhabi skyline, and the trousers have pockets.

The Armani slippers will complete the set with a matching tonal print and plush faux-fur inner soles.

Bottom line

Etihad has unveiled a new luxury collection of amenity kits across all cabins with nods to the airline’s cultural heritage and liveries. The collectible amenity kits will roll out across flights from the end of February. Economy amenity kits are available on flights longer than six hours, and business-class loungewear is available on flights longer than nine hours.
