1st look: Universal Orlando opening 2 affordable hotels in 2025

In less than two years, Universal Orlando will open its fourth theme park on a 750-acre site a few miles away from Universal’s existing parks and hotels, nearly doubling the resort’s size.

While many details on the lands, attractions and theming for Epic Universe have not yet been announced, Universal and co-owner and -operator Loews Hotels & Co. recently released information about Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort, two of the hotels that will be coming to the innovative new theme park.

Both resorts will be adjacent to Universal Epic Universe and will open in early 2025. They both will also fall into Universal’s “Prime Value” lodging category. Prime Value hotels typically have rates that start at under $200 per night. Each resort will have 750 guest rooms, bringing the total number of guest rooms across Universal Orlando Resort to 10,500.

Guests staying at Universal Stella Nova Resort or Universal Terra Luna Resort will have access to the same exclusive theme park benefits available at Universal’s current Prime Value hotels, including early park admission, complimentary transportation and resort-wide charging privileges.

Universal will release more information about the official on-sale date for both hotels, including how to book vacation packages, at a later date. For now, here’s what we know about each resort.

Universal Stella Nova Resort

Universal Stella Nova Resort is inspired by the vast and beautiful wonders of outer space. Standard guest rooms will sleep up to four guests and feature an upscale space theme, with a blue and white color scheme and a wall mural above the bed that depicts a galaxy filled with shining stars.

The hotel’s public spaces will have a modern look and feel, with a mostly black and white color palette set off by curved walls and textured ceilings that give off chic spaceship vibes. Dining options will include a quick-service restaurant dishing up classic American fare, a poolside bar and grill, a grab-and-go shop and coffee bar for all your caffeination and snack needs, in-room pizza delivery and a lobby lounge.

Universal Terra Luna Resort

Universal Terra Luna Resort will be similar to Universal Stella Nova Resort in size, layout and amenities but will have its own distinct theming inspired by “the thrill of exploring the unknown,” according to the hotel’s website. It almost feels as if Stella Nova depicts the journey through space, and Terra Luna depicts a far-off destination.

Standard guest rooms will sleep up to four and are decorated in a blue and white color scheme with otherworldly artwork.

The hotel’s lobby will be spacious and decorated with modern furnishings. The lobby will feature a lounge, a quick-service eatery, a coffee bar and grab-and-go shop and a Universal Orlando Vacation Planning Center for help with ticketing and vacation planning. Other dining options include in-room pizza delivery and a poolside bar and grill.

The zero-entry pool will feature playful pop-up jets. There will also be a large adjacent hot tub. Other amenities include a fitness center, a game room, a laundry area and a gift shop.
